Ebolarama I didn't get a chance to vote in the last round, but my choices won. Really thought I'd be voting Floater this round, but Ebolarama features everything that I want from an ETID song and is the song that got me into them. This is a rock and roll takeover.
Full disclosure though: if I had just seen floater performed live, I probably would’ve picked that instead but alas I do think ebolarama is the better song. I remember screaming when in Rome we shall do as the romans when in hell we do shots at the bar with my friends at parties
I’ve seen them play Ebolarama a ton of times, but I was still bummed that they didn’t play it when I saw them last month :/
Had another late night from events (wedding season is whooping my ass). Looks like our final score for this round is ending as follows. HOT DAMN! FINAL ROUND: Floater - 3 Ebolarama - 8 I'm gonna wait until later on this morning to start up our last album for them. Goodnight all. Last night in town will be posted soon enough.
<--- ETiDiscography Tournament ---> Before this tournament of voting for the best songs from one of the greatest heavy bands to ever grace the earth kicks off, we have to cover some of the typical ground rules ladies and gents. I will repost the following and keep up with score updates as often as possible until we have narrowed it down to one. As always, all participants should be respectful and considerate of opposing opinions/votes. These tournament brackets are meant to be inclusive and fun for everyone. Open discussion on all rounds and votes is encouraged! In order for your votes to count, you must vote on every match-up in the round. Also, to make it fair across the board, no changing votes once yours are posted. Round lengths will range from a minimum of 10hrs to 24hrs, pending run rules and average voters each round of course. I will be keeping score daily and confirming votes via likes. We will work our way backwards through their discography, starting with Low Teens through to a round of Bonus Tracks released by the band, and then ending with a Championship round. (We will skip over Burial Plot Bidding War EP as the band would probably encourage us to do so anyways.) In order to avoid an uneven Championship round, as well as to keep things interesting, we'll have a Wild Card round between the 8 LP runner-ups for a spot in the finals. Byes are unfortunately necessary in some cases, but all brackets are randomly generated and I will sit out voting unless a tie breaker is required. Championship Round Choices: (Low Teens) Petal (From Parts Unknown) Moor (Ex Lives) Underwater Bimbos From Outer Space (New Junk Aesthetic) Wanderlust (The Big Dirty) We'rewolf (Gutter Phenomenon) Bored Stiff (Hot Damn!) Ebolarama (Last Night In Town) (Bonus Tracks) (Wild Card) <---------------------------------> @okayibelieveyou @DeRRek @StormAndTheSun @aoftbsten @Sean Murphy @RunInTheFront @JaytotheGee @truelovewaits Alright everybody. As always, thank you for your patience in dealing with my hectic work schedule that has interfered with my down time more than I care to admit. For the 12 of you still with me, here is the moment you've all been waiting to skip. Last Night In Town. (2001) Here is your first round as well as your second round setup. LAST NIGHT IN TOWN ROUND 1: Nothing Dreadful Ever Happens VS Enter Without Knocking And Notify The Police Emergency Broadcast Syndrome VS Punch-Drunk Punk Rock Romance LAST NIGHT IN TOWN ROUND 2: Match 1 Winner VS The Logic Of Crocodiles Shallow Water Blackout VS Pincushion Here's Lookin' At You VS Match 2 Winner Jimmy Tango's Method VS California, Gracefully
I honestly haven't listened to this in years so I don't even know the songs, outside of Logic, Emergency and Punch Drunk.
Gonna mow the lawn soon and listen to this album. Pretty easily my least favorite album of theirs, but still some solid songs.
I think this album really holds up and while I would also say that it’s my least favorite lp, there are some really really rad songs for a debut. The frenetic energy on pincushion still gets me goin
So yea even though LNIT is my least favorite album from them I actually still dig it. It has some choice moments.
Enter Without Knocking And Notify The Police Punch-Drunk Punk Rock Romance Punch-Drunk for some reason I really like the "So give me a kiss. let me taste the reptilian appeal" part
