Old Light is good too, but it was no comparison for me.

Oh yea, I'm up there with you. I love Old Light, but Decayin' is top 5 ETID.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Wow can believe how hard this is. I just want to start out by saying this albums is one of my favorite albums of all time. I knew of and enjoyed some ETID before this album, but this album captures a lot that other albums in the genre can't.

    El Dorado

That riff jam at the end is literally a top 10 moment on any album for me...it just absolutely shreds and pulls literally the entire band's discography into one moment and just feels like the type of moment the band was trying to capture since they first started. Sounds like the riff can make mountains move. tAbsolutely love Moor too, probably my #2 lyrical song on the album.

    Idiot
Drum fill towards end = life
Last 2 lines are some of my favorite lyrics ever

    Overstayer
When I talk about Keith melodies, this song is a strong reference point. It's a hard rocking song, almost sounds like a 90's Foo fighters song at point, but I literally can't picture anyone else singing this album BUT Keith. He completely owns and destroys this himself. It would be wrong if someone else tried this

    Old Light
If you asked me this after the first few times I listened to this album, I would have said Decayin...since it's the song that got me into the album. I had just moved Upstate NY and was like, hmph, a Buffalo band, I should try to listen to them more.

But Old Light, it is a great song on its own, but it really thrives in its placing on the album. At this point hearing Fallon is a hugeeee surprise, especially given his profile at the time, and propels the album towards All Stuctures//El Dorado. Also, the fact that Keith not only sounds great, but even complements Fallon at that point, is utterly insane and something I never thought I'd say. Extremely strong, and FUNN track

Moor vs. El Dorado is a really solid matchup. El Dorado would be out a lot of songs on this album, but Moor just isn't one of them. Obviously Moor is a unique song for ETID. The transition from quiet to heavy is great and the part from about 2:10 to 3:00 might be my favorite in ETID's entire catalog. Keith's personal lyrics also put this over the top (kind of like Petal, I guess)

Idiot vs. The Great Secret was tough. Ultimately, Idiot is more of a go-to song for me. The last 25 seconds especially give it the edge.

Thirst vs. Overstayer was the toughest one for me this round. Both are similar in that they are short and fast songs, but I give an extremely slight edge to Thirst. I think part of the reason is because it came out prior to From Parts Unknown's release and I connected with it sooner.

The Old Light vs. Decayin' With The Boys was a really easy one for me because Old Light is far and away my least favorite track on the album, even including the bonus tracks. I'm not saying it's a "bad song" but I prefer the other 13 songs to it.

Pretty much all of this. For Thirst vs. Overstayer I had to go read the lyrics for a tiebreaker, and Overstayer just connected more in that moment.

The worst part about the Moor match up is that El Dorado isn't a bad pick at all. Starting to wonder if Moor is gonna be the second Petal.

Idiot is actually one of the most intricate and technical songs Jordan/Andy ever wrote. The drum part to the riff they're playing is so unbelievably difficult to cover and keep on time/track.
