"Storm comes and the city is abandoned, the ship is going down with the captain" "I am the man that sank the concert boat" Wow Map Change was prescient
I think it's in the bottom 10% of all of their tracks, but I get the appeal. I would've preferred "Nothing Visible; Ocean Empty" instead.
In my honest opinion, I think Low Teens and From Parts Unknown blow everything prior out of the water. Two absolutely perfect heavy albums there. From Parts is just 30 minutes of straight bangers, songs like "Thirst" and "Idiot" are amazing examples. And Low Teens is so cohesive and diverse, from low tuned sludge songs like "Awful Lot" to more straight rock, "It Remembers" and finally the absolute perfection that is "Map Change".
Yeah this boat show seems too unique not to miss. I feel like I'm getting a bit old to be throwing down but I'm gonna make an exception for this show.
gotta go with "God Damn Kids These Days" but "Nothing Visible; Ocean Empty" isnt far off. ive also always been partial to their cover of "I Used To Love Her" even if that song is....problematic but hey GNR
Heard the bonus tracks from Low Teens today and think they were good choices to leave off. They're not bad by any means, but they weren't nearly as moving as the rest of the album.
Skin Without Bones is basically a shittier version of I'm Joining A Cult. I still think it's good but definitely a b-side
1. Buffalo 666 2. Goddam Kids These Days 3. Grudge Music 4. Business Casualty 5. Starve An Artist 6. Cheap Ludes 7. Saturnalia 8. A Strange Loop 9. Skin Without Bones 10. Nothing Visible I mean I'd probably rank this over at least two of their albums
There is one and only one song specifically that I do not like either on record or live. And it's their Nirvana cover.
