they said the new one was like 15 songs and they weren’t sure about wether they should cut it down or just be long or what
I remember now. They posted a picture of the LP test pressing and it was 2xLP. With sixteen songs, maybe we get a little double album.
Keith just said on his Twitch stream that the band filmed some stuff recently for a streamed performance. He didn’t go into much detail, just that they put more money into nice cameras and a green screen instead of a big light show.
I'm combining two rumors from two sources (one of which spoke to Andy directly) and the potential consensus is the announcement of a livestream with some wacky and cool visuals (similar to what code orange just did) as well as the album announcement. There is a POSSIBILITY the album will drop on the 9th, a small form double album with 8 or 9 songs per album. Obviously, grain of salt
FWIW, Keith talked about the album on his stream last night, and I did not get the sense that they’d be releasing it any time soon. He said again that they want to be able to tour behind it right after the release and that otherwise it will drop and then recede. He emphasized how much thought went into it and the emphasis all hardcore bands put on their live shows. He explained that he sees it as wanting to meet fans half way—once fans can/are willing to go to a show, they will release the album and do the shows. Also, the double album option seems like a bit of a misnomer. We know they have 16 songs recorded, they felt strongly about all of them, and they discussed keeping all of them on the final record, which my require a bigger vinyl release. It’s not like they’re doing Use Your Illusion I & II.
Well, they’re pretty adamant about not releasing a record til they can tour so I wouldn’t expect a new record until Fall of 2021.. but it looks like we’re getting two new singles next week!
