Speaking of bands that give off ETID vibes, is anyone here familiar with the band Toothless? I saw them mentioned in an ETID FB group a little while back and they're pretty enjoyable. Misinformed EP, by Toothless
there could be a ton of reasons why Jordan hasn't said anything but we also shouldn't speculate on that I think
It's true. What bewildered me is why he would backtrack and delete statements he made clarifying he wasn't supportive of the same political views. She seems like she's upped her devotion and comfort level speaking out about this stuff, and then some. Can't help but wonder how many of those followers discovered her based on her marriage to Jordan.
There's maybe two I can personally come up with from my point of view: Probably caused a riff; he deleted to make his wife happy. Not a great reason. He didn't actually mean it/takes it back/Has changed his stance. Worse reason. Not like he said anything other than kind statements to fan questions. I thought it was great on him to have done so when he did.
Circa 2005/06 it felt like there were a bunch of ETID ripoff bands and they were all bad. Very hard style to nail. Remember that band Fight Paris? That shit suuuucked
Albany had a local band called The Nightlife that were popular but definitely tried to emulate their sound.
I always thought Greyhaven were similar, at least vocally, so much so that it made it hard for me to get into them. EDIT: I'm listening to their last full length to confirm, and yeah, parts to remind me of ETID, but this is way cooler than I remembered. It's like the lead singer of Envy on the Coast fronting Night Verses at points.
While we're reminiscing about similar bands, remember them? edit: Weird at Spotify embeds not showing up
it tends to either be a vocalist who sounds like keith/sounds great but very run of the mill riffs or interesting music but a shitty vocalist. hard to hit two jackpots.
i'd say the band that does the best job of sounding like them while doing their own thing as well is the daoboys
Your latest Q drop from Twitch: Asked about the album release, Keith said: “We’re going to be releasing stuff periodically, but as far as the full album coming out, we’re going to wait to drop it at once when people are able to go outside.” He confirmed Epitaph will release the album and that it has two guest features.
