Sunny doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Dude has the absolute best videos of live shows and also goes through the trouble of recommending similar artists through a pretty damn intricate system, at least in the hardcore/metal realm.
Something i've always wondered and i'm perhaps someone here may have an answer to it. I've seen ETID more times than I can count, probably around 20 times. They seem to stick to the same songs off each album throughout the tours i've seen them. Meaning there are a lot of songs i've never seen them play. Perhaps that's just the way it is when you have such a large discog? I guess it's not easy to play many of these songs live?
He's been goin hard for years too. I first discovered him when my friend showed me a set from Nails doing TIHC 2015 I think? Fuckin love that set still. Fuck it i'm gonna put it on now.
I am definitely curious about why some songs got skipped in night 1. The only one I noticed skipped was Pelican but I'll have to go through again Night 2 setlist was way better I'm really stoked for that video to come out Here were the correct setlists
I wake up to a full set from ETID? Bless this day. Also, what does "A mistake has been reported. New setlist will be populated onto hate5six at approximately 3:00am EST" mean? They're reuploading the video?
The video omits a decent chunk of songs: Pelican, Godspeed, White Void (new song), We'rewolf, and Sayonara (new song). Haven't seen an explanation of why everything wasn't included.
My guess is that it is modifying the setlist on the hate5six site, which lists the full setlist for that night, rather than altering the video.
My guess is not wanting to show new songs yet and maybe there were accidents during the older songs like broken strings, amps cutting out, video/audio equipment errors, etc...
Yeah the performances could have easily just not turned out that well. Circa Survive did a live dvd a while back and omitted songs from the video for what I’m pretty sure is that reason
Finally watched it yesterday afternoon and that was such a blast. The quality, both audio and video wise (RIP my 4G data), is fantastic. I couldn't believe it.
There's a vid of a Xibalba show I went to on Hate5six and Sunny definitely omitted the part where the vocalist was prepared a fight a guy acting like a jackass in the crowd lol
