I'm not getting that at all. That sounds like some sort of compression kicking in on Spotify. Not sure if it's still the same as it was a year or so ago when I left Spotify, but under the playback section there was an option to make all tracks the same volume. That may be the issue, see if that's checked. The song is definitely "hot" in terms of volume which would almost certainly kick in any compressor a service may have.
Could easily be it just a Spotify thing. It still sounds good, just a tad muffled. I've still listened to it like five times, haha
I wasn't going to go to warped tour but now I think I have to- just because I want to see them again ASAP and the new song has me so excited.
As excited as I am, I am equally upset about the 3 month wait. This move needs to die out. They'd sell so many more albums if it was available at their merch tent this summer.
If Warped wasn't in Mansfield on a like a Tuesday, I would go just to see ETID. Obviously would check out NFG, etc but ETID would get me to buy the ticket.
I highly doubt it will happen, but I have seen bands selling their albums early at Warped before. But that is just wishful thinking. This album was completed months ago, they announce it super late, then the release is even further away. I would bet it has to do with some label nonsense, it is just really annoying.
Probably would be smarter to pre-order and get merch with it but eh, preordered on itunes already. SONG IS SO GOOD.
I like the cover, mostly because I love them going back to the pink they always use. From Parts Unknown had a cool cover but I love the pink
I like the cover, however I feel like it may be a sleeve, with different art on the booklet. But I have been wrong with everything I have predicted so far haha.
Band's new Twitter banner has some cool alternate artwork: https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_banners/52144222/1466518400/1500x500
That art also appears in the background of their merch store. May be the type of thing we see on the booklet. Only 3 months until we find out! -_- Bah, I can't wait that long. I have no patience haha
Oh yeah, they're incapable of doing anything wrong at this point. They're definitely a band that gets objectively better with each release. Not to say that each new album displaces previously held favorites, but it's hard to listen to each new album and argue against the fact that they continue to hone their craft and show other heavy bands how it's done.
