For as long as we’ve been a band, we’ve had a schedule where every two years we start writing a record. But we don’t have anything written yet, and we still feel like ‘Low Teens’ has a lot of life left in it. For the other records, we were like, ‘Okay, that was a good record, it got it’s time in the sun, we’re going to put it to bed and move on to the next one.’ But ‘Low Teens’ is, like, evolving still. It just keeps getting interpreted in different ways, given new life, and people seem to really be attracted to it. We’re just going to tour for the fall. Probably we’ll start writing, but we’re not in as much of a rush. In our old age, we’re slowing down, so to speak.”
I totally back them when they say this album has more life in it. Two years and I'm still itching to hear a ton of these songs live on their upcoming headliner after seeing them 5 or so times on this cycle.
I still haven’t headwalked to Just As Real yet. If that’s not on the set list this tour i want my money back.
Hardcore Frontman’s Date Ends Abruptly After 6th “How the Fuck Are We Feeling Tonight?” in 20 Minutes
Listened to Andy on a podcast this week. He said much the same as Keith has previously about letting Low Teens breathe a bit more than other records and that they'll probably start writing again after the new year. FWIW, he also said he would likely turn down any wrestling offers that would take time away from ETID, which is his main priority. It's nice to be reassured sometimes.
I just love that these guys were able to keep their flare, garner enough fans to make a solid living, and also never lose the love or affinity for their music. A true anomaly.
it's pretty crazy. they're one of the most consistent heavy acts around AND they appeal to hardcore kids, scene kids and metal heads.
