I think it’s your responsibility to teach them the difference between standard time wnd daylight time!

They’re in Montana, who knows what kind of timekeeping they follow there.

Does Montana not observe daylight savings time?

 

We do. I dont know what its like everywhere else but the summer we can stay light out until about 1030, and winter it gets dark at like 430

 

See, that's what @bachna84 was referencing. Since we're currently in daylight savings time, the correct time designation would've been MDT or Mountain Daylight Time.

I'm in Chicago, on the eastern edge of the time zone, so it only stays light until about 9:30 at the latest in the summer, and gets dark super early in the winter.
