I read the interviewer's post and all I can hear in my head is "influencer voice" ... all about the The Content, get that engagement, make sure the likes are up, how can we optimize our hashtags voice. Maybe I'm projecting or something, but the "I don't want to know anything so I can give you real reactions while we podcast" shit just rubs me the wrong way. If I was interviewing someone, I'd want to know everything I could first so I could ask informed questions, be prepared, and I don't want to be a substitute for a therapist because I am not trained to be.

I ... really am just not cut out for the whole lifestyle of this kind of "content creation" these days, the stuff I see on YouTube and whatnot just ... I dunno, all of this makes me sad and bums me the fuck out.

 

I'm gonna be bummed by how many times the phrase "my truth" will be thrown around in those convos.

 

He has a third fiction novel as well as an autobiography (contracted through Rare Bird for both) so that AB is gonna be wild

 

YES!!! 100%.....Judging by his last podcast with Keith we're in for a lot more of the '2 guys kind of figure things out as they talk through it' type of thing, which can be fine, but to set up a tour based on interviews and Q&A I would want to be as prepared as possible. Especially since the timelines are already sketchy

 

yeah i mean it could not be more obvious that this dude is foaming at the mouth at the idea of exploiting this situation to get some hits and likes for his blog and podcast. real gross stuff.

 

In some way, I can’t blame him. Even the best people panic when their career is completely upended.

Keith, I mean. Not some influencer.

 

yeah it is not shocking at all that Keith wants to get his side out there because at the end of the day, he's probably who most people want to hear from anyway. it's disappointing certainly, and could even possibly get him in even more legal trouble (re: defamation), but it is not shocking in the least.

 

If I were Keith I’d shut the fuck up and not make things worse than they already are. Everything points to him being the one forcing the band’s hand here, and I don’t think doing a press tour or whatever is going to benefit anybody.

 

imagine paying money to have Keith Buckley in a portable bathtub lie to you.

 

Not to mention this is now TWO messy legal battles he's involved in and the more he talks the more messy it becomes

Idk what the insinuation is but this forum is certainly not the place to speculate or discuss anyones personal legal matters/battles no matter how public they make it, especially if it concerns children. Lets not get weird here.

"get" thread has been weird for going on three months

 

I'm not speculating or discussing the cases whatsoever, nor mentioning details. Just stating that it's now public knowledge, which he's very open about, that he's embroiled in two legal battles and shouldn't be discussing them publicly.

 

I'm listening to Gutter Phenomenon on Spotify with the lyrics integration pulled up and either they're not super accurate or I've misheard some lyrics for years

Ex: I thought it was "will every Kennedy end his life with a cliche" but it says "every candidate ends his life with a cliche"

And "our hair is woven in the same old tail again" is apparently "woven to the same hotel again"

Anyway missing them already

sounds like it could be resolved if they talked to each other, but keith literally wont talk to anyone except strangers on the internet, soooooo

 

I can’t blame him. He is going through a lot and it’s not uncommon in times of turmoil, crisis, etc for a person to lash out at people who they are closest to and even distance themselves from them. I hope everything works out and they can at least have good dialogue between them.

 

totally predictable but sad events. just hope keith gets the help he needs.

 

Damn UO better offer refunds on this tour because I’m not going anymore lmao.
