Not much more you can do than proof of vax or onsite negative covid test for entry. Problem was on day 2 everyone stopped wearing their masks
The Low Teens cover looks like they forgot to make an album cover until a few days before it release so they just wrote the title against a black background. It's not bad but it's just kind of there.
I don’t even consider it album art. It’s just words. Album art to me has to be a visual image not just words so Low Teens doesn’t even count to me as album “art”. Don’t mean to light any fires if that’s a hot take or if there are art connoisseurs around here lol
Seems like a strange hill to die on. The title is stylized and fits the album imo, it's not Donda lol
Maybe I'm just easy to please but I dig all of their album covers, they've never really done the "same" thing for any of them which I think is really cool. Even Low Teens being the only one with just the text (and might I add cool font and coloring)
Some of ya’ll need to breathe it ain’t that serious lol also I need someone to rank the back covers now for the full trifecta of rankings.
I've been into this scene since the early 2000s and have managed to entirely miss ETID, I'm looking forward to remedying that. Should I still approach them chronologically at this point in their careers? Anything I can miss?
It probably doesnt hurt to just start from the beginning. I dont ever return to Last Night in Town but, for the sake of doing a first time discog run you might as well tune in.
Sorry if this just takes the album art conversation one step further into insanity but I loooove the font used specifically for the band name on the Low Teens cover. Definitely my favorite stylization they’ve done
I do enjoy the type treatment that they gave to both the "Low Teens" part as well as the band name, but in the end I just don't feel a connection between the art, the title and/or the themes of the album, which is why I personally don't find the cover of that record compelling. It's a testament to the strength of that record that it took this thread (sup Jake) talking about it to consider the art because every song on Low Teens whips too much ass.
