From Parts Unknown is probably my least favorite of the albums since Hot Damn, both in terms of the sound and the art. I love the art for Low Teens other than the way the band name looks (I wish they'd kept it consistent with the sans serif font and the usual "I"). Ex Lives is probably the best album cover, maybe save New Junk Aesthetic. The Big Dirty and Gutter Phenomenon aren't great, but they kind of work for what they are.
New Junk and Ex Lives are both great artwork. Big Dirty just feels iconic for some reason. I don't mind the corniness of FPU and think it suits the album I didn't like the Radical artwork at all at first but for some reason I love it now
Honestly the Radical title/artwork is the most on the nose for me in a not great way but I love The Big Dirty
I had no idea people didn’t like their artwork. I think all of them are home runs. One of the greatest cover art disco’s, IMO.

Yeah, I agree with both of these statements haha I wish the album had a different title or at least a different cover but the music is so good that it doesn’t even matter in the grand scheme of things.. just something I noticed.
ETID Album Cover Rankings since I brought it up: 1. Ex Lives 2. The Big Dirty 3. From Parts Unknown 4. Low Teens 5. Gutter Phenomenon 6. New Junk Aesthetic 7. Hot Damn! 8. Radical 9. Last Night In Town
Radical art is awesome if you like fun I don't think any of them are bad. Low Teens is just forgettable, I had to look up what it was
Looks like TID the season was a mass spreader event. Given how many people with booster are testing positive now, … I don’t even want to say.
went back to Big Dirty and Gutter today. Totally forgot Gerard was on Gutter hah. Enjoyed Gutter way more than I remembered previously. The Big Dirty is just so riffin’ good. A dark horse choice for my favorite album of theirs depending on the day.
Re being a super spreader event I'm not trying to pass judgement on anyone because I've been out to restaurants, I'm definitely not perfect, and I don't blame anyone for wanting to let loose (especially if they're vaccinated). But yeah, I mean we probably shouldn't be doing this shit unless everyone attending is fully vaxxed and masked up, and even then, it's no guarantee. Especially directly after a holiday like Thanksgiving.
yeahhh my friend (double vaxxed and boosted) flew from LA to Buffalo for this and now he has Covid as well, definitely sounds like a lot of folks picked it up there. All that traveling/airports/mosh pits is a tough combo right now, i guess
Listened to New Junk Aesthetic for the first time in a while after all the recent chatter in here. Goddamn, the most accurate thing I can say, re: fave ETID album is that my favorite album of theirs is whichever one I have listened to most recently. The consistency rules so hard. Totally forgot about Matt from The Bronx's feature in "The Sweet Life". Really cool to see they played that one at 'Tid the Season as well.
