Just spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to find Keith’s discord but as someone who has never used discord.. uh..I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing.

This feels like an incredibly tangled & very personal debacle that we pretty clearly are not and were not ever meant to be witnessing unfold the way it is, let alone at all. I know we’re all concerned for the future of a band we love & its members that most of us feel emotionally attached to, but any speculation on the guts of this whole thing feels straight up disrespectful. Really hope they’re able to mend in private via therapy. Breaking my damn heart man

The shows are now cancelled after all. Emails from the venues are just now going out.

 

Obviously have no idea what's really going on but it's definitely sad

 

Shows would be mad awkward after Keith just disclosed what he did. Idk I hope shit gets straightened out for TTS. Seems ugly though

 

Really not sure what to do about TID The Season now

If it does happen it's definitely not going to feel right

tbh i doubt i'd listen to this band with either Keith and/or Jordan leaving. like others have said, keith's vocals and lyrics are essential, but jordan's riffs are just as essential imo

 

There’s a lot of ETID tracks already that don’t have Jordan on them.
There’s only one without Keith.

heck, my favorite song on the new record was written by Mitch.

if you're talking interludes and stuff, like, that's pretty clearly not what I'm talking about and isn't an integral part of their sound lol

sure. he still plays sick riffs on songs written by other people. just bc you have the writing credit on the song doesn’t mean the other people don’t play on it. keith, jordan and andy are all irreplaceable

 

can we please not argue if someone's guitar playing on a song (esp. if they haven't written it) is less replaceable than someone's lyrics + vocal performance?

there are very, very, very few guitarists who aren't replaceable.

all I'm saying is, an Every Time I Die without Jordan is not technically a hypothetical.

I am just so hideously sad reading all of this. Band has been my favourite for years and it's nothing but heartbreaking reading everything. But also, at the same time - while I hope things can get patched up, it seems like a bit too much dirty laundry is being aired right now for anyone, ETID as a whole most of all, to feel comfortable with. I get this is a discussion forum, but sincerely hope everyone can just chill on the speculative bullshit that, even with the right intentions, can be tactless and harmful
