this is incredibly shocking because I was at the Asheville show last night and they were LOCKED in. Keith was positive and I talked to Jordan after the show. I have to imagine what keith heard happened after their set.

It's the one started from his twitch, on the general channel, though there is a specific channel for the Gawd-tier on patreon. Basically, he says he's been the victim of Jorand's manipulation, emotional and physical abuse for over 20 years now and he won't allow mistreatment from any of them any longer. He's prioritizing his mental health and un-willing to move his boundaries to accommodate anyone

 

Theres definitely more going on behind the scenes and it may have been going on for years.

Question - if a band doesn’t play/has to cancel a show do they still get paid?

If they don’t then I completely understand why they would want to play without him.

Same, I'm only making sure that before people jump to conclusions or anything, they join up there and get his truth straight from the source, rather than prioritizing the messy back-and-forth on twitter

It's tough to see private matters bubble to the surface like this. I hope this is a blessing in disguise and Jordan and Keith can smooth this out where the band can function stronger and Keith can establish his necessary boundaries to continue his sobriety and healing.

 

Yeah as an addict, family gets hit the hardest. Hoping for healing for everyone involved.

 

Boundaries are always a super hard thing to establish regardless of if you're going through drug/alcohol/mental health issues or whatever, and some people are simply not willing to respect those boundaries due to their own narcissistic behavior. I'm unfortunately dealing with this with my FIL in regards to my wife's own struggles, and some people just think they're too important to not back the fuck off and respect you.

 

Wouldn't be a chorus thread without a little virtue signaling! Hoping Keith and the rest of the band/crew can heal from this.
