That's interesting. He doesn't want them to perform without him? They quoted him in the post... very weird (oh they quoted something he says not a direct quote about the shows).
Shit. Don’t have a great feeling about all of this and the long term future of one of my favorite bands. Glad I can see them next weekend for TTS at least - but getting more and more worried about Keith.
I truly cannot even begin to put into words how completely and utterly defeating and just destroying it is to overhear your family members talk about you when they think you can’t see/hear what they’re saying. It’s happened to me a few times and I’m still ridiculously fucked up from it.
Fuckkkkkkk. That had to be so painful to hear. also- I’m sorry but ETID would be nothing without Keith.
seems like since he got sober he brings up traveling separately and being away from alcohol in the next tweet
Ugh..... awful. One of those where I can really try to see from both sides, because he is doing what's best for him. The band should NEVER talk behind his back though. That needs to be a private conversation, like, "we respect your sobriety, but perhaps being in this band and around this environment is NOT the most healthy scenario for you". I dunno even typing that, talk about a difficult conversation. No winners here really, except for (hopefully) Keith's mental health.
also imagine the fucking hubris of trying to replace Keith fucking Buckley? Like, don't get me wrong, I love and respect everyone in ETID, and yeah Keith might be on a path I don't fully comprehend right now, but ... like... I'm here because of him. Yes, the riffs slap and what not, but what sets ETID apart is Keith.
