This is such a ripper. I feel like I usually wouldn't be too keen on songs like Thing With Feathers or White Void, but goddamn, these guys make em work.

  3. There are some absolute bangers on this but overall I think it’s mid tier ETID. And I’m not saying it’s bad, but they have other albums I like more. Now that can change in the coming weeks.

Putney’s production is so fucking good. Low teens and this are my favorite ETID records mostly because of the tones

I just came off seeing Manchester Orchestra twice last week, so I can't help but think about how freaking awesome it would be to hear him do "Thing With Feathers" with ETID live.

if I had to cut one album post Hot Damn it would be Gutter. The production absolutely ruins it for me, which is nuts because I loved Machine's work with Armor For Sleep and Emanuel.

Got into ETID with Gutter Phenomenon, and The Big Dirty was huge for me. Still a fave

TBD is the first one that really really did it for me, but I don’t go back to it so much these days. It didn’t really occur to me how repetitive most of those songs were until they kinda broke out of that routine a bit. NJA sorta has the same issue but I guess it bothers me less haha

They fixed your brain when you were young.

Gonna need an ETID branded China set at the merch table. Stat.

Bummer indeed, that is not what I wanted. Might have to find another variant elsewhere if anything is still available.

I'm actually reasonably happy with how it turned out. I'm not the biggest fan of clear vinyl and ordered this one somewhat impulsively before I saw other retailer-exclusive variants.

Gutter still is and likely always will be my favorite ETID record.

Listened on my way home from work. It’s definitely good but I think I had my expectations a little too high after reading the thread.

Would probably cut 4-5 songs overall, but I really like when they get weird with it. The stretch of The Whip-White Void-Distress Rehearsal is fucking sick.

Rough luck on the vinyl. IIRC the first Low Teens pressing had a few songs missing. Epitaph handled the situation well but what a bummer for them it must be to run into more problems
