My expectations were absolutely sky high for this and I wasn't let down one bit. Early standouts outside of the obvious features are Hostile Architecture and Sly but honestly could have listed the whole record. So excited to see them tour next month. Hoping they bring Josh out to do his feature live.
I love this album. I have had it on repeat intermittently once midnight hit. Still not jiving 100% with every track but I know that will change. Thing with Feathers is truly unique to me, being an etid song. I think my expectations were higher than they should have been and I can chalk that up to seeing ManOrch a week ago and being blown away again by Andy Hull but man, I can’t pin down how this song makes me feel. It’s the one I keep coming back to right now and keep finding myself getting emotional each time haha. Also, full disclosure (and y’all can crucify me for this if you want) but when i first listened to it last night after midnight, i got oddly direct vibes to RHCP when the song started.
I am sure that you are a perfectly reasonable and likable person in real life but this is the internet and while you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine, which is to say that yours is wrong. So wrong in fact that I'd like to suggest that you may be a scoundrel and of ill repute. Good day.
Its weird. I LOVE the Andy Hull guest vocals but couldn't give a fuck about MO. lol. This album rules.
Listened through once so far and dug it. That Josh Scogin feature is sick. Currently doing a second listen thorugh
I cant properly appreciate this while working a desk job so im gonna have to go on a 120mph drive later
I've decided to make the trip from Atlanta to Asheville for this tour. Absolutely can't miss out on seeing that Scogin feature live in a ~500 cap room.
White Void sounds way different then I remember from those live recordings a few years back. Way more impressed with that one than I thought I would be.
I love how IN YOUR FACE the guitars and drums are on this album. Keith's lyrics, the long album, the guest vocals, the unrelenting heaviness. It's the perfect ETID album. on another note, Goose is a friggin INSANE drummer. he knocked it out of the park.
