been listening to the 4 songs on repeat the last week and it's making this two month wait so much harder. AWOL and Post Boredom are my faves so far.
I still have to learn that stanky bass part but guitar for post boredom is a fun one. Not as funky as as AWOL or fast as Wreck but good
Was in a dive bar in Seward, Alaska and played Turnstile and Every Time I Die on the jukebox. I think only I was happy
so at my friends house last night I heard up to the track with Andy hull, which was fucking awesome and started out with some tool vibes before Andy comes in and kills it. overall though what I heard was some of the heaviest ETID material to date, just some really unrelenting stuff. but this was just the first half of the album. I’m sure someone who has heard the whole thing has thoughts on how the back half stacks up but I was blown away
Worth noting: Sly was the name of a homeless person in Buffalo that everyone kinda knew, passed away a couple years ago, I’m assuming that track is titled after him
I was in a convenience store in Denali National Park and they were playing Joyce Manor's Self Titled all the way through. Maybe the Alaskans like the heavy/punk stuff more than you think.
Whoops I already got the original one they were selling lol Although still tempted to get the purple or blue lol
Would totally rock an ETID design on Comfort Colors if it didn't have Planet Shit on the back and limited where I can wear it. Oh well.
Like I'm envisioning wearing that in the line to pick up my kid from daycare at the moment, and I'm envisioning the weird looks I would get from the other parents...especially all the military folks in my area. I can't imagine having to explain that one to them or the daycare staff.
Unrelated to the album, but did anybody order/receive the split with Cave In? It said it was supposed to ship in May, but I also realize that there have been serious vinyl shortages
