There's basically no low end on the album, but yeah, I don't really think highly of any re-records. Maybe a remastering, but it's not anywhere close to the top of the list of albums that need one, for me at least.
Yeah, that’s what I meant. Don’t get me wrong. GP is my favorite ETID album and I am well aware the band had broken up, but man, the mix on the album is so thin/flat. It drives me nuts listening to that album then switching to any other in their discography.
I love Gutter, but if they'd recorded it with Steve Evetts, it would be perfect. Big Dirty and New Junk are my favorite ETID records sonically.
All this time I thought Steve Evetts did Gutter lol oops but yeah the other issue is that he was clearly learning to sing at the time, it wasn’t as refined as it was on the records after
I bought gutter because Norma Jean put a MySpace bulletin telling me to get Gutter. I did what the Christ core gods told me to do
Really hoping after Better Lovers and Many Eyes have their album releases and tours... these guys can reconcile and get the band back together... Radical is too good and it wasn't toured enough...
Yeah, I get that, but a some bands get back after some time. Blink 182 with Tom, Underoath with Aaron.. Just saw Many Eyes at First Ave in MPLS on the Thursday tour last week and I got into ETID too late with Low Teens it made me want to see ETID. I'll keeping hoping and enjoy both new bands too.
Can anyone comment who has seen many eyes playing live on this tour? Their two released songs were just ok. Was wondering how their other songs would be that they played.
They played more than I thought they would. I arrived a little late, but they still played about 30 - 40 minutes, maybe like 8-9 songs? It was great!
many eyes is first. Keith sounded great and the unreleased songs sound solid. The other members don’t have much stage presence, it’s hard not to compare them to the ETID guys.
Don’t hold your breath - I mean even the way Andy worded this tweet makes me think it won’t ever happen
