Radical has hands down become my favorite ETID record of all time. What a goddamn masterpiece to go out on (even if that was never the intention). I echo the sentiment that it’s a shame that the record did not get the touring/promotional cycle it absolutely deserved. People Verses absolutely should have been a single over Thing with Feathers as well.
people verses is probably my favorite song off it. i echo the masterpiece sentiments. they really went out on top, releasing their two best records back to back imo.
It's the ultimate ETID record for me. No a single dull moment where it falters or I lose attention. Just a fucking blast front to back, even the disorienting (can't think of a better word, but particularly referring to the weird sample) closer.
Yea it's weird saying that a band's most recent albums are their best material without sounding like you're trying to cope big time but From Parts Unknown, Low Teens and Radical really are ETID at their absolute best. And that's saying something with how strong their previous albums already are. And even within those last three albums they just got better and better for me with Radical being their best album, the exact way a band can go out just completely crushing it. I honestly think one of the biggest heartaches I will have in my entire life looking back in the future is not being able to see All This And War live, and Radical in general be performed. I'll have to at least count myself lucky I was at the show that they debuted White Void.
The Whip is in the last 6 songs, y’all know that right? Listened today, album is just a visceral ripper through and through, All This and War is an incredibly fun song.
imagine if you got the vocalist of Many Eyes hopping on some Better Lovers tracks. I bet it would sound so good.
The new Many Eyes track doesn’t have a r/metalcore chorus so that’s a nice step in the right direction but both of these tracks are just…fine
Yeah, the songs are fine, but the recordings just sound sterile. Edges rounded off perhaps. Like, it's technically good, but is just missing the life and feeling that other recordings give me. Not entirely sure how to explain it.
They need putney behind the boards. Agreed, songs sound a bit sterile, but would definitely be better if production was better.
