Jordan replied to my comment on his NFT post. It seems like his heart is kinda in the right place but I dunno, man, this is gross
I do want to believe he's genuinely ignorant to how bad they are, and I've seen a lot of smaller independent artists and illustrators I follow toy with (but ultimately abandon) the idea of doing NFTs, so hopefully this just ends up being a brief fling and not an ongoing commitment.
Jordan's a solid dude and I've been buying his art/shirts/etc since the NJA era and he's never been anything but the opposite of a scammer (making incorrrect orders right, including bonus goodies, quick to respond and fix an issue, etc.). I think this shit with the band happened (right after he bought that new printer and office space) and he already planned on re-printing his old shit so he started looking for as many revenue streams as possible. Dude has a kid to raise, and as a dad of 4 I can say that it's always nice to find multiple active and passive streams of income. I believe his heart is in the right place and he seems hopeful that the energy issue will improve, however, if it doesn't I don't feel like he will continue.
For anyone looking for Ex-Lives: https://shop.brooklynvegan.com/products/every-time-i-die-ex-lives-lp
would be all well and good if the energy thing was the only problem with NFTs. Doesn’t matter if your heart is in the right place or not, you’re still scamming people
I mean, a ton of people asked him to experiment with it and he did so by doing a limited run with an accompanying print. If people have that much money to burn with crypto and NFTs and that's how they choose to spend it, so be it
More kinda annoyed they thought they had to physically ex him out of the photo to show us who he is lol
Working on A track (out of 3?) I wonder if Keith will be in the band, or if its just a feature. Still wishing/hoping for a reunion at some point. I saw the Radical show in Austin and they were in peak form. Whole thing sucks all over again
I'll say this: I never really liked a Keith band apart from ETID, and I am utterly unintersted in any form of ETID without Keith. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Since members are publicly talking about working with other artists now, can I throw a wish out there for the the remaining ETID guys? Greg Puciato
