ETID in general doesn't get enough love from me mainly because I have to be in the right mood to put on heavy music and it's not something I reach for that frequently, but this album is really damn good and I think I severely underrated it on my EOTY list last year
yeah im surprised but also really really thrilled you like this band because you generally dont stray into the heavier music and i get that its not for everyone. this band is the best band doing it imo. Converge is also a very very consistently solid heavy act
Yeah, I finally listened to them when From Parts Unknowm and got really hooked on that record. Itll never be anything I spin every day, but I've been blown away by Low Teens each time I've put it on. I also need to dive into Converge more, I've given Jane Doe a couple spins but I think I owe them more of my time.
this and fpu are consistently on my running playlist and then jack me the fuck up every time they come on. been listening to it weekly since it came out. still dunno which one is best...
Almost every time I listen to ETID I pull out specific songs, which is a mistake because they just don't have the same impact removed from the context of the album
I think Axe to Fall is good to get into if you want shredding, You Fail me is the breakdown king, and All We Love blends those together perfectly
Yup. It's just everything awesome about them but with new awesome stuff added to the mix. Just unreal.
So I guess it's Low Teens' birthday and yeah, despite not being thrilled on it when it came out, it's probably their best, though ex-lives might be my favorite.
On the contrary, I can't believe it's already a year old. How the time flies. I've listened to this thing a million times and it still feels like a new love. They're fairly steady with the regular "album every two years" schedule, too. The prospect of having something new from them at any point within the next calendar year is almost too much for me to handle haha
Yeah so I listened through their discog the past few days, and since the band thread is ranking, I'll share here: Low teens Exlives New Junk Big dirty/hot damn!/from parts unknown Gutter Last night in town
If they stick to their typical album cycle, they should have another album out next year. Maybe recording in the spring?!
