Yeah, they don't really come close to Ben in terms of technicality, I was mistaken in that. I feel like I'll never fully comprehend Ben's playing, and I'd kind of like to keep it that way. It adds to the Dillinger experience for me haha.
I mean it's fairly obvious Dillinger is more technical and ETID is more groovy, but they both touch upon each other's territories a bit. Both bands' albums are among my favorites this year, ETID at #1 and Dillinger at like #3
Is Low Teens on any end of the year lists? I've seen some metal lists and it's not on any of them. And that's just wrong.
Anyone going to the holiday shows? My friend told me he has an extra for each one, so I think I'm going to do it.
That's me exactly haha. It's like a 2-3 hour drive from Cleveland, so it's not terrible for four shows. This year the holidays make sense with my family plans to swing it. This seems like the year to do it.
An ETID holiday show is a bucket list thing for me for sure. My friends and I had planned to fly out for one last year but it never worked out.
I think I am ready to safely call Low Teens my favorite ETID release. New Junk and HD are really up there for me, but this one is just so good. Really curious to hear which direction Keith goes in on the new Damned Things EP. Hopefully we get some info on that shortly into the new year.
I didn't know if they were actually going to be on the show or if they were just doing an event with that crew. I just started watching that guy's web series the other day. I haven't started his actual show yet though. This week will be the first!
It's really good, i started it last week and have already caught up. I can't remember where i saw it, but there was a tweet saying they were filming for the show, if it makes it on though, i guess we will see.
I remember seeing that tweet I just didn't remember if it said filming or if it was like a viewing party or something. The show is great though so I'll enjoy it either way.
I was at the show they were filming at for dead set on life, and talk to Matt Nathanson in the pit. They filmed the show in Buffalo where they played Low Teens in full
kind of mind blowing that they released 15 fucking songs with this and it has some of the best songs they've ever done.. petal 1977 nothing visible just a real but not jFC fade me
Gambled and picked this up at my record store today. It's the defective version lol. Just filled out the replacement form from Epitaph. Also, this confirms my earlier statement that Just As Real...is breakdown of the year. Hope they play it on this upcoming tour.
I think it's an understatement to say they've been releasing their best stuff during the past 8 years. Most of my favorite songs are from their last two albums.
