I didn't have any problems with the drums on Low Teens until I listened to Stage Four right after. But I'm not sure if it's a problem with LT or just that the drums on SF sound so damn good.
First time listening to this band and oh boy, this fudgin rips. Gonna have to have a listen to their whole discography now.
Yes yes yes especially some Cursive influence. Another one of my favorite bands. Tim Kasher should drop a guest vocal on the next ETID record
Are you me? lol When I posted that, I was like, no one is gonna agree with me. But when I heard Awful Lot, all I could think of was Tim writing a metal song lol And Cursive is one of my favs too
Phenomenal right? they shouldve been included as regular tracks, but I think the time constraints of the vinyl held them off.
Welp that settles it. Tbh, I think they were right to leave Skin Without Bones off...it sounds like a FPU track if they decided to make songs like Pelican and Great Escape catchy. Not sure where to place the second one yet, the breakdown at the end sounds too straightforward for it to be on here. The biggest problem I have with the production here is that Keith's vocals sound flat (not in the musical sense), especially his cleans
Can't see how It Remembers doesn't become ETID's biggest single to date. The visuals add an awesome dimension to it, and the song sounds huge.
I feel like they maybe left skin without bones off because it is similar to Cult with the early repeated lines. Got me a voodoo doll, joining a cult. and the section with real quick vocals is similar to the section in Glitches. I still love that song. Voodoo imagery is awesome to me. Same with cult themes, so naturally I love Cult as well. The fact that he is comparing turning to God, with joining a cult sweetens the deal haha
Yeah, I'm not sure how to describe them. They're almost "harsh" or something. I just feel like the record didn't have much low end. Almost like listening through laptop speakers.
It Remembers has been stuck in my head for like an hour at work. I love how menacing yet catchy it is.
On first listen, I like the back half a lot more than the front. Petal, 1977 and Nothing Visible; Ocean Empty are my tops. Two Summers feels like Wanderlust. Glitches feels like Thirst.
The production on this is....alright. What I expected from the credits of putney. A little too much sheen. But the bands performances overshadow any production qualms I have. That includes Davison on drums. Dude is a monster
First and foremost, we just want to say thank you for supporting Every Time I Die by purchasing Low Teens on vinyl. Unfortunately, there was an error in production that lead to the last two songs of Side A being left off the record. We are working on re-manufacturing the record as quickly as possible and will send you an update as soon as we have it. Once we have manufactured the new vinyl, we will mail it to you free of charge. Your original Low Teens order has already shipped. Please hang on to the album jacket as the replacement will be the vinyl and sleeve only. In the meantime, you should have already received your digital download where you can listen to the album in its entirety!
