I love how ETID continually push themselves and try new things. They could easily go into auto pilot and keep releasing the same album every 2 years that will sell and keep a majority of their fans happy - but they don't. These guys truly love being in this band and love making music and love their fans. They're the best in the biz.
Religion of Speed is amazing, and has one of my favorite choruses ever. Absolutely love it. "When all I am, is a stone that says the name I had, and the years that I had been"
Nah, they just follow the ETID formula over and over. Just ask that guy at Rolling Stone! /s Im still bitter lol
A lot of people commenting on the It Remembers video are saying they came for Brandon, and left wanting to hear more from ETID, growing fan base.
That really is awesome. But I would pay to see the look on their faces if the first song they pull up afterwards is The Great Secret or Underwater Bimbos. haha
lmfao but with the gothic leaning of LA Devotee's music video, who knows. Would love for the reactions to "BLOW YOUR FUCKING BRAINS OUT" If they eased in with Decaying with the Boys, they might become real fans haha
Starting with "First I have to save the life of god, so that god can come and save me from myself". That song is nuts
Sorry if this has been discussed but holy crap I hate the way the drums sound on this record. Bass snare and toms sound kind of muddled and it overpowers everything else. Songs are awesome though
The production/mixing/whatever bugs me more than anything else about this album. Might be my least favorite of their albums when it comes to that stuff.
Yeah, I would probably agree. Looked at the producers credits and it's mostly Risecore bands. Makes a lot of sense in context
So in Awful Lot, Keith says "Why can't it be the year 2000?" and to me, I hear some 2000s emo and punk influences in the song. Some Cursive and Hot Water Music. Maybe I'm crazy.
The drums actually were the first thing I noticed and I think they sound way better than FPU. They have some punch and bottom end.
