That review is like the review my wife would write since she doesn't listen to, or enjoy, this type of music generally. "It's loud and heavy and screamy and angry and sounds just like all their other music."
Does anyone else think Brendon Urie kind of sounds like the guy from Funeral For a Friend in his part? I'd be interested to hear him sing in that style more.
So I stared listening to Hot Damn! In January, but over the course of the last month have listened to the rest of their discography. I wanted to spend a lot of time with Gutter/Dirty/NJA before I got into these most recent three. I'm on Ex Lives now, and wow I feel like they really have nailed their sound on it. He sounds amazing on the opener. Excited to listen to the new one, and FPU soon.
RS diiiid just give stage four a huge review buuuuuuut 99% of their reviews miss the mark and 100% of them say nothing at all
Yeah I mean we're acting like a 3 star review is a death sentence which is funny but that review is just so......uninformed? Like I just cannot believe someone writing that review has listened to their discography, yet they state that they have.
RS gave Low Teens a review? At least it'd bring more eyes to the album, I guess. Never should treat their reviews seriously though.
Also on the subject, nothing on Touche Amore because they're great but how the fuck they got a Music Spotlight on Metacritic but ETID doesn't even have an entry yet. Especially considering FPU was a highlight for Metacritic when FPU came out.
Touché is a younger band making waves in a bunch of different scenes and put out probably the best hardcore record of the year. ETID is a veteran band that's very much in their own niche. Idk low teens should be on there but I'm not shocked that it isn't yet
They could've given LT a 0 out of 5 and I wouldn't care as long as they gave reasons for not liking it that made any sort of sense. This "review" was just garbage and completely uninformed as you said.
Holy hell, another great album from these guys. "Just As Real But Not As Brightly Lit" is a hell of a tune. I haven't had song melt my face like that since, well since the last time these guys release an album. "Map Change" is a great closer and a song I totally wouldn't have expected from them. Fantastic stuff.
god fucking damn this record is just wild. im picking up on so many intricacies on repeated listens, these riffs are super fucking interesting.
Yeah loving Ex Lives. Revival Mode is really cool, and Indian Giver gives me slight In the Event...vibes.
