Georges vocals are nowhere close to as good as Keith's IMO, but George is one of my favorite lyricists ever so it evens out

 

they're stylistically so different, it's impossible to compare

 

Since New Junk I think they've settled on a sound and have only slightly deviated from it. But I think the 4 albums from Hot Damn to New Junk all sound very different from each other.

 

Love the song. I get some Big Dirty vibes, which is (more often than not) my favorite album of theirs.

Also definitely going to order the vinyl since I own everything else by them, but I can't decide if I want that bundle with the "Hocus Pocus" tee or not.

 

If you listen to Keith on the Going Off Track podcast he did a while back he talks about bands changing their sound too abruptly, and how they consciously try to steer clear of that and take smaller steps.

 

idk man george's vocals on new bermuda are extremely extremely impressive

 

They're impressive but I don't like his shrieking style as much as Keith's

 

i love it and his deep growls on like come back and luna are just fucking evil

Pre-ordered. I'm not really a fan of the artwork but I know the album will be killer.

 

Already liked this more then anything on FPU. That album just didn't land with me.

We get new Every Time I Die and new Touche Amore in 2016. What a time to be alive.

 

I wonder if the original plan was to have it out when Warped started.

But perhaps album don't sell as well as t-shirts do at warped. Hmmm.

 

if I still wore band tees, I would totally get that one haha. i'll forever hold on to my old ETID shirt with "Smile You Fuckers" on the back.

 

Albums definitely don't sell at Warped. I also wonder if it was a vinyl issue, as well. Someone mentioned that in the other thread.

Listening with headphones, the guitar/bass tones are sooooooo gooooood.

 

That's kinda where I'm at. I don't really wear band tees very often anymore (occasionally on weekends) but I just really like the design.

 

I'd imagine a lot of it will have to do with the shit he went through almost losing his wife & daughter when his daughter was born early. On the Going Off Track podcast he said something like the entirety of the new album was all the dark places his mind went to and shit that took place during that

I may be misremembering, but I thought he said it was mostly (if not all) written that first night in the hospital.

 

I'm pretty sure he said he wrote all of the lyrics in one night in the hospital.

 

I think youre right about that as well. Should be a very emotional album

 

Also can't believe they got Brendon fucking Urie on a track. That'll be interesting to see how he's incorporated in. Much like Gerard on GP
