Great article/Interview with Max from Spin Eve 6’s Max Collins Is More Than Just the King of Music Twitter new EP Black Nova out in the next few months
Came across this interview with Max and Jon from August on youtube. They may follow the new EP up with a new album

wow this new song is absolutely terrible, that's a bummer. This song feels like Max was making Fitness music, then Eve 6 got popular on twitter, so it became a Eve 6 song.
This new song isn’t a masterpiece but it’s fun for me. I also love Max’s vocals and don’t want them to make Horrorscope 2.0 so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've listened to... everything he's released with Fitness, so if you like this song.... feel free to check out their stuff haha
Fitness is hit or miss for me but I do like some stuff from that project. Funny enough, my favorite Fitness track is “Matter of Time” which sounds like an Eve6 song taken over. Either way - I love that song so much. Hoping for a song in that vein on the EP.
Crying 30 Seconds to Mars is the band most reviled by bands, I think, across the board. Just absolutely despised. In my opinion, rightfully so. Everything from the music, which is godawful but with this really heavy pretense of being incredible and very serious. Yeah, just terrible. It’s strange because [Jared Leto’s] obviously a great artist … I mean, actor. I really do think people like that just don’t have friends anymore in the sense that, you know, people who will tell them that they suck. You need to have friends that tell you when you suck and when you’re being a self-serious prick, or you end up like that.
Found this interesting Everclear. Art [Alexakis] is a really good friend. He’s another sober guy. He almost produced the first Eve 6 record but ended up firing our A&R guy for mixing his second record. And after that, our A&R guy was like, “Fuck that, Art’s not working on your record. He fucked me over.”
that's actually a pretty amazing interview hah, I went into it thinking it'd be all jokes but it's pretty straight up
After adjusting my expectations and giving this a few more listens I'm kind of into this song now. Maybe it's just because I have a massive nostalgic soft spot for this band. Garage rock is not what I was looking for out of new Eve 6 music, but taken for what it is it's pretty rad.
Yeah maybe it's the kind of Eve 6 song that goes on an EP and they'll release a full-length with more of what we'd expect...
