I remember just last year when Max said they would maybe do an EP sometime but no full length so this is great news!

 

I'm hoping it's true and not just Max being his crazy eccentric self haha

Yeah... SJ has a history of being a douche who’s fame truly went to their head. Very disappointing.

 

Spun my Speak in Code vinyl a few times over the weekend. Enjoyed it a lot more than I remembered. Not as good as their first three records obviously, but some really enjoyable songs on there.

Also a good time to mention that Horrorscope just got a repress like a week ago

I snagged this the last time they pressed it. I have my console table with all my records behind me when I'm on work conference calls, and any time someone comes at me with some shit about how much of a hipster I am for collecting vinyl, I can just show them that I have an Eve 6 record and it shuts em right up.

 

Speak In Code is a great album. The bonus tracks, Red & Black and Underachiever, are fantastic too. I really hope they are actually planning to release a new album.

 

It’s All in Your Head is one of the most underrated albums of the era. “Arch Drive Goodbye” is one of the all-time-great closers

 

The Sugi Tap EP is super underrated as well, some top notch songs on there

 

I revisited this yesterday because I remembered it had the original versions of Pick Up the Pieces and Red & Black, but the Eve 6 versions of those songs are much better IMO. None of the other tracks really stuck with me this time around.
