I think all 3 episodes have been equally good and bad, the show is just operating at a certain level and balance right now
I’ve enjoyed these more than any of these like past seasons, but Sam Levinson always makes some weird choices to remind viewers who’s behind this all. And the man loves writing the N-word maybe more than QT.
Granted I haven’t begun the new season yet but I can’t think of a single instance of a character saying that the first two seasons so that seems like a weird thing to say about him
I will say, similar to Fast and Furious keeping Paul Walker’s character alive, I think characters interacting with Fez is kind of mistake that takes me out of the show. I think a mention or acknowledgment of where the character is works, but a one-sided phone call is kind of ehh maybe a bit much.
This show is just kind of a parody of itself now, I mean it always kind of was. Really it was Sam Livingston ripping off Petra Collin’s whole aesthetic, but now it’s like taking the form of Breaking Bad or something?? I still enjoy it, mainly the Jules stuff and Nate & Cassie’s terrible marriage. It’s just the Rue stuff is pretty silly.
Finally started the new season. I actually enjoyed the first episode a lot more than I thought I would, the crime drama genre change is kind of working for me 2 was kind of a snoozefest unfortunately but I thought 3 was super fun. This show is obviously incredibly campy and always has been so I'm kind of excited to see how insane it gets
I feel like that’s gonna be borderline impossible to match all their schedules up and will cost a bazillion dollars.
Zendaya’s character having one-sided conversations with Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney’s characters because they were busy filming like 4 movies at once.
I keep seeing people online saying that the Nate + Jules scene from e3 was done with them not even talking to each other either - not sure if that's true or not but it does seem to cut to each of them sort of weirdly watching it again
Apologies if there is an easily explainable reason I just missed but having speed run the last two seasons over the last week and a half and then watching the first two episodes of this season has anyone else noticed Hunter’s voice sounds notably different this season? It sounds like she decided to take up smoking two packs a day between seasons
watched 4 last night and thought it was another good one. nates plotline sucks but otherwise it's been a pretty enjoyable season so far
Enjoying the season more than I’m not. Missing the aesthetic of the first two seasons. Cinematography and score have been excellent please don’t kill off Faye
