I still think the season is going to be a bit of a mess but there are still a lot of good actors in this show yeah. The writing so far has felt like a step down though, the Ali diner scene felt like a shell of what the ones from previous seasons were. I really love the special episode with him and Rue
It was better than I thought it would be but it definitely doesn’t feel like the same show which I guess is a positive
Just along for the ride at this point. I'm sure there will be some cool visuals, some cool needle drops and maybe some laughs.
as much as i love zendaya i'm mostly here for hunter at this point so as you can imagine the first episode was a bit of a letdown for me
The narration was the worst part. It’s still “first year of film school” bad, with the cliche “The thing about ____ is, once you ____” type stuff. As always, Levinson’s writing isn’t good, but it’s visually interesting.
Really loved episode 2. Seeing Rue/Jules and Cassie/Maddie together again was great. Very excited for next week!
I didn't think it was particularly bad... but I also didn't think it was particularly good... I love Hunter so much ugh
That scene of Cassie having a narcissistic meltdown while Nate is beaten within an inch of his life is absolutely the show jumping the shark, but damn it's so funny. Only wish we got to see a montage of "fuck nate jacobs" moments from past seasons beforehands lmao.
Darrell Britt-Gibson is always good. Underrated modern character actor. Will never forgive him for killing Bodie Broadus though.
This episode was ridiculous, but I thought Sydney Sweeney's performance was good. That close up look when she was pretending to be happy? Damn.
Thought third episode was pretty incredible? The sequence of three super tense scenes with the wedding, Laurie's house, and the final scene scene at Nate's was some of the best TV I've seen lately so either I have shitty taste or critics are dumb. The actors playing Naz and Alamo are show stealers.
