Started watching season 1 and am really enjoying it, but I'm getting annoyed with how mean Kat is to Ethan lol

 

I can't wait for Lexi's play.

My wife’s theory is that Nate is somehow indirectly responsible for the third brother’s death we never see, just in that family picture. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Fez and Lexi "Stand by Me" scene was the highlight of the season. Kat gaslighting Ethan was the low point...Knowing there are rumors that the actress was unhappy with her planned storyline, I felt really gross that whole scene. It seriously felt like Levinson was getting revenge on the actress or something because that was straight character assassination and it went on for so long.

 

this is definitely happening.

The delivery of “that girl needs an exorcism” got me

 

I do think it's weird that people think Levinson intentionally made Kat unlikable this season as retaliation for Barbie's creative conflict, because... Kat has always kind of sucked?

She immediately accused the principal of fat-shaming her when he tried to ask about the revenge porn, she ghosted Ethan after seeing him speak to another girl for 20 seconds, and pulled some "I don't fuck virgins" shit knowing full-well she was still a virgin a couple weeks prior.

Her absolute social ineptitude is her main character flaw, and that restaurant gaslighting scene made perfect sense.

 

Oh yeah, that restaurant scene was totally in-line with her S1 character

 

Just started this...it feels like way more of a depiction of college than high school? I cannot speak for anyone else's experiences but this was nothing like my high school at all.

 

Not like my high school at all, but this is a TV show, not a documentary, so that's not a problem

 

I mean, my high school didn't crazy big house parties or psychopaths like Nate.

But like, normalized substance abuse, unconscionable sex crimes & revenge porn, and girls using dating apps they were too young for? Absolutely happened at my High School.

 

I graduated in 2009, so the social media stuff wasn’t as big. But everything else was there.

 

I'm even older than you, haha. All I had was Myspace Top 8 at the very end of my high school experience.

 

Cassie's mom is Roxy from the Frank's Pretty Woman episode of Always Sunny, I was wondering where I recognized her from

Why do you think Laurie poked Rue’s arm so many times?

 

Im 2 episodes behind. I lost all interest. Last episode I saw was when Cal left, that story I did enjoy. I feel like Rue is the least interesting character

 

Already can tell this Lexi's play episode might be my favorite of the series so far.
