Oh for sure, she's voiced not liking Trump before but overall she's taken a very "I don't overly care about politics" position and that nonchalant-ness makes having a partner who's MAGA kind of track unfortunately.
I love Ethel, but her mocking Lana Del Rey (who in some ways probably deserves it) in a way that feels kinda fatphobic or whatever wouldn’t surprise me, lol.
Threw this in for the first time while feeding my daughter and Willoughby 's Theme put her straight to sleep
Solid first listen, does a really good job bringing together the last two releases in the best way. Same as with Perverts, I don't have issues with the instrumental tracks, but I'm probably have a few listens cutting out those three tracks at some point
In a climate that's very hostile to trans people, barely a month after Ethel's entire online presence was excavated (but no one can find anything alluding to that accusation though?) in a hate campaign and thus led to her recent apology, Lana sending her fans after her isn't great. That this happens in the midst of Ethel's biggest year, right as she releases an album again, isn't lost on me as well. I'm a fan of both but the optics don't look great for Lana, and this all could've been handled differently. What I mean is they should work it out on a remix
Apparently the fat-shaming post was a lyric accompanied by a gif of Peter Griffin dancing, which, fat-shaming is not funny, but lol, just adds to the ridiculousness of this whole scenario
Oh no... Hopefully she'll include a few more for the European leg since she's barely toured here before.
I greatly prefer Preacher's Daughter at this point, but this is a pleasant listen that definitely builds off of Perverts.
Anyone know about what time she's been starting her set? I have a friend going tonight who was asking me....
