I saw somebody say (can't remember where) that Jesse's delivery on the verses sounds very similar to how he sings Sacred Organs (Ghost Atlas) and now I can't unhear it, in a good way.
Do we think they’ll drop another single this month? I don’t really think there needs to be another, since we already have three and the album drops in about a month anyway but UNFD loves to drop a bunch of singles before a full release. If it were me, I’d wouldn’t drop anymore singles until the week of release. The Monday before the album drops I’d put out the many names of god and then drop a video that’s the last three tracks all together in one short film type of thing on release day. But ERRA is not me so I don’t think they did that.
the many names of god is fucking amazing good lord, heaviest song theyve done with jt thus far and probably my favorite of the four singles
“The many names of god is the first in what we consider the trilogy of silence outlives the earth. The trilogy represents a distinct shift in tone from the previous songs on the record. “We wanted the aesthetic of the tracklisting to persuade the feeling of that shift. The record transitions to a darker place at this point, and the many names serves to take the heaviest moods expressed in the preceding tracks and visceralise them.” - Jesse (taken from the press release for the song)
Bunch of playthroughs have dropped over the past few days. They’re all instrumental so we can hear all the hidden riffs.
ERRA - Silence Outlives The Earth - CD Review Pretty positive review (if google translate is to be trusted). Only nitpick seems to be a somewhat monotonous record. Maybe not as varied as some of their other albums?
There’s two other reviews floating around as well, both positive. Neither of them mention the tempo thing though. Only a few days left!!!!!
them saying the tempos for every song are the same is worrying to me because thus far that has been the case lol but i still like the songs either way, that only matters so much
ALBUM REVIEW: ERRA - silence outlives the earth - Boolin Tunes 10/10 but it goes through every track in detail so don’t read if you wanna go in 100% clean.
While I appreciate and like the depth of the review, the author referring to them by their last name only (Cash, Tustin, etc) drove me up a wall. Like I was reading the recap of the game last night: "Brady was superb as he hit Gronkowski for two touchdowns in the 4th quarter and afterward, when asked, Belichcik said....." It was weird to read, and I don't want to see that again....lol
