Yeah, I really love the sound of that teaser. Honestly I guess I understand if they change the name... but it does seem like a weird time to do it, after they already reunited lol. Ritual definitely fit with their old sound though, so maybe they think if this new stuff is too different it’s better to re-brand.

I just worry that this will be another side project that quietly fades away like NK.

I miss NK so much :tear:

Yeah hopefully they stick it out longer this time around. I’m interested in if this project will co-exist with Envy on the Coast, or if this becomes their primary focus going forward.

So from the sounds of it - it’s a new project that will probably be the primary focus for now. Wish it was just under the Envy banner but all that matters is the music - hopefully this comes out soon!

Preview sounds great. Glad they're keeping the envy name alive. In spite of this new project

After thinking about it more, the teaser honestly reminds me of this song a lot, which I absolutely adored at the time (and still do). If they expand upon that sound, I'm 1000% here for it!

Sift is my favorite from the EP. I would love more in that style.

“Indian Summer” is excellent. I’m really excited for more Violent Joy music, and I hope this project does really well for them.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Indian Summer's chorus reminds me a lot of a reworking of Tell Them That She's Not Scared

I like the overall sound, but the song itself doesn't do much for me.

Anyone who's a fan of any era of EOTC should check it out - just saying.

It's good but I'm really missing the dirty intensity of Low Country
(I understand why they felt these songs didn't make sense for EOTC)

I like this a lot more than Indian Summer. I can definitely see why they turned this into a separate project.

Was waiting for the song to rock out but then It died down in that super long boring bridge.
