City of God at 15 is like when someone says their favorite book is something everyone read at high school.

Parasite at the top is fascinating. It isn't even Bong's best film and it wasn't even the best South Korean movie that year, but it does have a huge cultural legacy. You see so many films trying to replicate those critiques of class in flashy and audience-catching ways, but nothing recently has done it as well as Parasite.

There’s plenty of duds on there but putting Gone Girl on disqualifies it completely.

Children of Men is fine, good for the genre even. You can’t just forget 90 mins of junky writing because of a one shot when doing a serious list.

 

I forgot Gone Girl was on there. Probably the worst film on the list.

Werckmeister Harmonies is the greatest omission.

when you go to get tickets online i think amc recently added that "Movies start 25-30 minutes after showtime." this is the first time i noticed it there.

 

I haven’t been to the movies to see an adult movie since…before covid? I think? So when I went to see 28 years later on opening night, the movie start time said 10:10, but the damn previews didn’t even start until like 10:20. Definitely wasn’t a thing before covid at my Regal.

 

Is this a thing?

 

Went to see 28 Years Later at AMC the other night it was 34 minutes after posted showtime before the movie started playing.

I've had A-List since it's inception in 2018 and have the trailer times down. This was a full 10 minutes longer than before.

 

I enjoy the dark knight but did not think I saw god when I watched it.
