I have already watched basically over 25% of PTA's filmography, because of that you insinuate I lack context and make some backhanded vague references to ludicrous proclamation and ahistorical statements without stating what they are. Very condescending, while also somehow complementary lol
I did not insinuate anything about you. He asked for an example of someone who is exploring film and you were the first person I thought of because you mentioned watching the Anderson films. The ludicrous proclamation was partly about myself. I started this conversation by mentioning how much I didn't like Heat and Mulholland Dr. when I started getting serious about film. There are few things less pretentious.
Tomorrow is the last day of work and then I have nine days off. I have the following goals: 1. Finish Mother 3, Donkey Kong Bananza, and God of War Ragnarok. 2. Watch at least a movie a day. 3. Drive to Orlando to see the new Trier film. 4. Spend less than 22 dollars a day. 5. Go to the gym because I am being forced to lift weights by my cardiologist.
I have lived in Florida for almost all my life but I have never had a Cuban sandwich. Salami neither.
This is the equivalent of saying "I am a lifelong New Yorker but I have had Pizza" or "I am a lifelong Cincinnatian and never had Spaghetti Chili"
It's how they've been made in Tampa for over a hundred years. Sweet origin story too: Early 20th century cigar factories in Ybor would have Cuban and Italian immigrants working side by side, so street vendors created a sandwich with ingredients they both would enjoy. In Tampa Bay we do it with roast pork, ham, and salami; in South Florida they just do roast pork and ham.
