I have seen Goodfellas more times than probably more than any other movie.

I think Killers of the Flower Moon is my favourite but it's been a long time since I've seen most of his earlier stuff.

can't contribute more to the Scorsese conversation other than Goodfellas good, Irishman pretty good (albeit long), Shutter Island meh, and Wolf a bit overrated. have a lot more to see.

The most "overrated" Scorsese has got to be The Departed

It’s still a very fun watch though.

The love for The Departed made sense at the time because it was arguably the lowest era of his career. Post-Goodfellas to The Wolf of Wall Street has a lot of mediocre films. Shutter Island is borderline unwatchable.

Shutter Island is fine. Leo carries it with his performance

The best thing about Kundun is that joke in The Sopranos.

I had to watch Kundun in high school. It felt like homework

Boxcar Bertha is his worst film, but it was a mercenary job for Corman. Shutter Island is really rough. New York, New York is boring. The Color of Money is a weird anomaly.

never seen Kundun but a hallucinatory visual feast scored by Phillip Glass about the life of the Dalai Lama, which angered the Chinese government to the point of blocking it, all sounds extremely dope

Kundun was a Disney release here in the states, right? or Touchstone maybe?
