This is a nice story The playful Steven Spielberg-George Lucas box office rivalry began at a workshop
John Mulaney in a recent comedy actors roundtable was asked "what is your dream role?" and he said it would be a prequel to Jaws where he plays young Chief Brody as a New York City cop that explores why he's so afraid of the water. Now I kind of want that.
This was quick and off the dome and I also took off Social Network cuz I didn’t want two from the same director
i never realized 10 would be so hard! mega honorable mentions; Superbad, Irishman, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Licorice Pizza, Anchorman, Team America, Identity, Coco, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine
These bigger timeline lists are always so much more interesting. The much larger pool of choices and the way memory washes away the hype leads to much more strange or offbeat choices. When it is a year list you tend to see the same four or five movies again and again. Not that they are necessarily unworthy, but it gets boring. It is one thing to be the 1000th person to say The Brutalist was great, but who is still championing some forgotten movie from 2002?
