Michelle Hurd is a great character actress. I enjoyed her in Star Trek Picard even though 2/3rd of it sucked.
i heard the hamilton in theaters plays a clip at the beginning with the cast members saying to sing along, but then there's this girl on tiktok who did sing along (barely audibly) and was met with wildly rude behavior and told to leave. she was sobbing the entire video explaining what happened, like wtf how could ppl treat someone like that? if they're not being excessively disruptive, why make such a big deal out of it, even getting staff involved? (this is also an issue because the disney/hamilton/theater camps never specified that it was a singalong or made showtimes that were specifically singalong, but i digress) a few weeks later, demon slayer comes out, and i see a clip of a fight in the theater. apparently some dude peed on a kid and that's why they started fighting. wtf is wrong with ppl??? how, why does that even cross your mind as something you should do? so everyone had to leave and the theater gave them all vouchers to come back another time. theater workers aren't paid enough to clean up after "chicken jockey" or whatever the hell that was, let alone literal piss. and that poor kid! yeah, theater and concert etiquette is on the decline, but that feels like a whole 'nother level of vile.
“Demon Hunter” (non-KPop) making $70 million domestic feels like a continuing sea change for anime at the box office. Pretty wild.
