Jesus I just learned from Last Action Hereoes that several Japanese woman in the '80s killed themselves when they found out Jackie Chan was dating someone, one stepping in front of a bullet train. I guess he had a fervent following in Japan from touring his pop albums. After that he vowed to never have a love interest in his movies and that his movies would never have social or political commentary.
