I personally wouldn’t quite go that far but around when I left Chicago it had become normalized, I think a Starbucks Reserve there served a malort based drink
Malort made its way to Missouri and Kansas over the winter. Now it’s a regular thing at the local bars.
Relative to its reputation it’s great lol. But really, maybe it’s partly because i’m not a big liquor guy in general, but there is something about it that i genuinely like. Something in that spice blend just hits for me
It was fun doing a shot and declaring I liked it on a trip to chicago with friends who had lived there in the past and had been hyping it for years lol, great moment of my life
had a great sidecar tonight after getting out of Leviticus. consequently might've found a potential venue for our future wedding reception/afterparty via the cocktail lounge where i had the drink
I was pretty unphased by it when I first tried it, but where my Chicago friends would get each other was everyone would be at the bar and drunk enough to not question it if a buddy came up and said “hey I got us tequila shots” or something, then you taste Malort instead, and that was off putting. But everyone did it so often that you just got used to the taste of Malort. I remember it having a licorice character that I didn’t love, but I’m not a licorice guy
You underestimate how bored the elderly are. I have had clients over the age of 80 tell me they were going to see the Housemaid and the Mandalorian in the last few months.
oh ok. i didn't know that. i thought you deleted a post in between or something. LC calling me Josh all of a sudden.
There are a lot of people who genuinely believe that Michael Jackson was framed so there is definitely that audience too.
