Saw “Tuner” today on the account of, for some weird reason, they were giving away bobble heads of Dustin Hoffman. A perfect example of a well-made three-star movie.
I asked but my theater had zero bobbleheads. Super annoying as I was there 30 minutes early because they always run out of that stuff but this time they didn't ever even get any.
I always check the Offers page on the AMC site. They advertise all the screenings with giveaways there.
Tbh I might try DMing them. I've had friends get AMC to mail them stuff when the theaters ran out in the past.
I loved Bottoms (which Havana Rose Liu is also in) but Tuner looks so boring Or maybe boring isn't the right word. Basic?
I went in blind outside of the premise. It’s nothing groundbreaking but like zilla said it’s just like, a competent good time I did like her performance in it, good chemistry between the leads I thought
Agreed. Wouldn’t mind spending more time with them. It’s a low-key adult thriller-drama where the stakes aren’t super high and the heists aren’t anything too crazy. You just get invested in the main characters and want to see how they make it out of this. It’s the kind of movie that would have made like $50 million in 1998 and will probably make $5 million now.
They kept on sending me emails about it, where I was like “Sure why not? I like characters using special skills to steal stuff.”
Really want to see that. A wealth of decent movies right now and they’re all gonna get buried (at least when it comes to theater count) by Mando and Baby Yoda.
