And in it the DeNiro character shoots and kills his wife and daughter and then drops dead of a heart attack????
my fourth grade teacher called the Stiller/DeNiro Meet The Parents her favorite movie. props to her, i guess
I think if a high school teacher recommended the Cronenberg film they would have a police escort by the end of the day. It was senior year of high school which was 2005-2006 for me so the awful Crash was really popular at the time.
A kid in my 2nd period keeps telling people that he learned about Eastbound and Down because of me and it might be what gets me thrown out of my job.
There was an evening when I was working with the first and second graders, when the building got warmer than I expected, but I couldn’t take my sweatshirt off because I had my Anora t-shirt on underneath.
After the AP gov exam, we have a couple weeks between that and senior finals where they just work on projects and we watch gov related movies. Eventually their interest runs dry so sometimes I find something more fun to watch, like 4 years ago the class insisted on watching National Treasure so we did that. Two years ago, I decided to show them an episode of Veep. These are seniors and some of them had already seen Veep so it’s not like the odds are high I’m showing them something they hadn’t seen or heard before. But anyway I picked a random episode or two rather than starting at season 1 episode 1 because it always takes shows some time to find their groove. So i picked a random Episode in season 1, and we got this line: lol. They were all cool with it, but I ended up turning it off when Congressman Furlong showed up because I knew he was about to say the most offensive shit possible lmao
I showed Saving Private Ryan for years without getting permission and every time that door opened I was fearing for my life.
I had some kids ask if they could be excused from watching it after the medic death scene. They were very sheltered.
