The Mr Rogers movie was bad and this is an all time bad title, but I’m in for a Tom Hanks baseball movie.
Also there's a side character named J.D., who somehow isn't related to Paul Dano despite looking like the Temu version of him
really a shame to see what's become of Alamo. Lived 5 minutes from one for a long time and it was the only place I would go to. Have since moved and don't have the option anymore, but seeing all of the moves and difficulty they've had since covid makes me feel like it's a worse experience today than it used to be.
about to be closer to one for the first time in a while and wondering if it's even worth visiting at this point. been getting posts from r/AlamoDrafthouse on my Reddit homepage, and every single one talks about how the QR code rollout has been a nightmare for customers and employees alike, that the food has gotten worse (especially at corporate-owned locations, of which the one i'll be near is, while the one i previously went to was franchised), that a lot of the fun has been taken out of the experience. i'll mostly be surrounded by Marcus Theaters, which - like AMC - i have my own problems with, but the downsides there might make for at least a decent experience if everything at Alamo has truly gotten worse at nearly every location.
