Everyone seems so excited for Heat 2 but it feels like Mann is going back to the well after multiple films that underperformed.

Oh no Mann directing a crime thriller with a stacked cast

 

I doubt anyone would.

 

It helps that there’s already a template with the book. I think it’s pretty clear he feels passionate about it (I have not read the book.)

 

Stands to reason this is the last film of his career. Would rather it clearly being a passion project like this than a more random movie (I enjoy all of his films this isn’t shade)

 

@Halitosis Jones making my way through season 2 of ER now, “Hell and High Water” was a banger. Great showcase for Clooney as a leading man. And the boy caught in the drain was Brink from Brink! The Doom II subplot is one of my favourite comedic storylines in the show so far too
