In terms of quality, 100%, but a lot of actors would do better by having as much fun as he seems to have. Dude just doesn’t care. All his movies are stupid but a lot of them are stupid brain off fun. Kind of similar to statham.
This is complete conjecture, but Statham seems slightly more aware about the shlock. I think Gerard Butler and Vin Diesel think they are making art.

I feel like Statham will try something dramatic sooner or later. I think Will Ferrell could have had a better dramatic career but he sort of gave up pretty quickly.
Will Ferrell is pretty good in Stranger than Fiction and The Shrink Next Door. He was also great in Will and Harper but that’s a documentary lol.
Statham definitely knows what he’s doing. His role in “Spy” is such a good send-up of his typical character. The bloopers are so good.
He’s the only good thing about “Hobbs and Shaw” because of that. I’m still haunted by The Rock trying to be romantic with Vanessa Kirby.

I fortunately saw that by myself and it was slightly out of focus the entire time so I thought I was having a stroke. We did see shelter last week and a working man last year. That one was really rough.
