My wife and I’ve been watching Normal People. Took a bit before I sank into it but damn, it’s great. Does NOT make me miss my 20s

I watched during Covid. I remember almost nothing besides him crying in his bedroom and some scenes of them in college.

Haven’t watched it since it aired but I loved it then. I remember the therapy scene being really great.

they’ve both have had good careers since but it doesn’t feel either have come close to this again

A lot of the most popular reviews for movies on Letterboxd are usually just farming for likes / tweet-adjacent reactions

 

do not treat letterboxd as a social media platform and you'll enjoy it more

 

i don't want to see "popular reviews" i just want to see what my mutuals and some select others (podcasters mostly) are saying

 

That’s kind of the way a social media platform is also used lol but yes I agree

 

Honestly those joke reviews are better than something from Rex Reed or Peter Travers.

 

I appreciate seeing what friends say but I like digging for the actual thoughtful reviews after seeing something.

 

lol yeah I guess I just mean I don't want to see random people and their attempts to go viral like you see on twitter
