Katee Sackhoff is doing a reaction video series where she filmed herself watching Battlestar for the first time. She randomly says "NXIVM" when certain actors pop up on screen lol
The first episode of The 'Burbs was fun. Like Only Murders in the Building with some Desperate Housewives and a little spookyness. Keke and Paula Pell are always great.
the pilot is wonderful. I remember first watching it alone and feeling the grief pour out of the screen, then showing it to some college friends and they laughed at the melodramatic performances. it left me so conflicted. then I realized that it can be both things and it's so much stronger for it. Lynch was always trying to show us the multitudes of things.
Matt created a Disney show about his Thai heritage and Rebecca is a non binary creator who made the cartoon network show Steven Universe that is very big
After rewatching a bunch of Christopher Guest this past week I think I can say that Best In Show might my favorite aughts comedy. Very least in the top 3.
Guffman would be in my top 3 or top 5 90's comedies. I guess Lebowski and Election would probably be my #1 and #2.
Sometimes I start thinking that maybe The Big Lebowski is overrated, but then I watch it again and it is just as brilliant as before. I might be the only person who prefers Black Sheep to Tommy Boy, but I saw it many times as a kid before I saw Tommy Boy. Almost Heroes is fantastic and something I have seen many times. For the 2000's I always come back to Anchorman. My students used to love Talladega Nights but the homophobia is just weirder and weirder as time goes on. I discovered Blades of Glory not long ago and that one is really special. Of course, Walk Hard only gets more and more relevant as the biopic trend goes on.
