I do enjoy the videos Martin Scorsese’s daughter makes with him, especially knowing his earlier regrets at being a dad.
I took a look at the 2026 movie lineup yesterday. No big franchise event movie excites me that much besides Jackass 5 and Dune 3 really. Very interested in Zach Cregger's Resident Evil but I need to see more.
I haven’t gotten to 28YL: Bone Temple yet and expect to love it. Other sequel/franchise things I suspect I’ll see and enjoy to varying degrees: Ready or Not, Devil Wears Prada, Spider-Man (can’t help myself lol), Supergirl, Clayface, Hunger Games, Dune. So, a decent amount of “IP” things.
I am sure I will see Spider-Man, Supergirl, Avengers, Mando, Clayface, Scary Movie 6, Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Focker-In-Law, Gerwig's Narnia movie, but they don't get me super hyped. There is a lot of original movies this year which is exciting.
Guess I was getting bored skimming the list ‘cause I forgot and missed this one, lol. Genuinely very interested in how it turns out. The Star War isn’t real to me, since it feels like just a glorified TV special for a series I don’t watch. Which, there being a Star War in the theater that I won’t care to see is wild, given how much I used to care.
i meant The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, haha. i'm fine with her doing Magician's Nephew. that Disney one was special to me as a kid, so idk how she could do it better (but i'm not ruling it out either)
The conversation as I understood it started with franchise films. Which, I guess you could count an adaptation of the Odyssey, but I see that as something different. But yes, very excited for that one.
